MRI research papers
The Music Research Institute houses a collection of research papers, reports, articles and press cuttings about a whole range of aspects of music. To search this catalogue, just enter keywords below. The entries have been put into categories (education, psychology, biology, neurology, composers, musicology, therapy, technology, sociology, general) which can be used as keywords.
If you wish to acquire a copy (where copyright allows), email the MRI, quoting the reference number. The standard charge is £5 per entry. If however you are a student and are unable to afford the administrative cost, the MRI will support your studies by charging just the cost of photocopying and postage.
The rationale for providing this resource is to demonstrate the diverse effects and benefits of music, and to argue for a more central role for music in society. The MRI wishes to acknowledge the Cyril Corden Trust in funding the establishment of this database.
